Onigum Community Center Wall Top-Out

Shingobee is constructing the new community center for the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.  The walls are being constructed with Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF), a progressive, energy-efficient method. Concrete Inc. of St. Cloud, MN (Shingobee’s subcontractor) constructed the walls utilizing more than 50% local tribal labor. Shingobee and Concrete Inc. conducted training on ICF wall construction, OSHA regulations, and plan reading at the Leech Lake Tribal College earlier this year, to prepare and train local laborers for the construction of this facility.

Shingobee Selected to Develop City of Carver Property

The Carver MN City Council unanimously selected Shingobee Real Estate Company to redevelop a former bus garage property at its May meeting. Shingobee’s proposal is for construction of a 40-60 unit senior housing facility. See our post on shingobeerealestate.com for more information.

Spirit Lake Nation celebrates Grand Opening of new Wellness Center

Tribal members of Spirit Lake Nation held a Grand Opening and Dedication of the Glen Walking Eagle Wellness Center on Friday, April 14, 2017. Shingobee provided construction of the Wellness Center as an expansion and renovation of the existing Recreation Center, in the Crow Hill District, Fort Totten, ND.
