Shingobee CFO Nancy Samson has been elected to the Board of Directors of Associated Builders and Contractors Minnesota / North Dakota Chapter. New Board members were sworn in at the association’s annual Excellence in Construction Awards banquet, on January 26, 2017.

Nancy has been Controller and Chief Financial Officer at Shingobee since 2005; she also serves as the Corporate Secretary/Treasurer. She brings a strong management and financial accounting background, combined with experience in the commercial construction industry, to Shingobee’s management team. In addition to her role with Shingobee Builders, Nancy is also involved with their development company, Shingobee Real Estate.

Nancy attended St. Cloud State University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. From there, she went on to achieve her Certified Public Accountant license. She has 23 years of experience in a variety of industries, with 18 of those years in the construction industry.

Nancy has been active in ABC’s Legislative Committee for the past several years, including trips to the Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C. to advocate for merit shop legislation. She stated, “I am honored to be elected to the ABC Board, and look forward to the opportunity for greater involvement in their advocacy efforts.”

Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) is a national construction organization with 70 local chapters and more than 22,000 members throughout the United States. The local chapter has approximately 350 members in Minnesota and North Dakota employing over 20,000 people.
