Shingobee Builders and its CEO, Nancy Samson, were both honored at the Annual Meeting of Associated Builders and Contractors MN/ND Chapter, held on Thursday, November 8. The event is held annually to elect new members of the Board of Directors and to present Chapter awards.

 

Nancy Samson receives Construction Woman of the Year awardShingobee CEO Nancy Samson was honored with the Construction Woman of the Year award, which recognizes excellence in job performance, aggressive commitment to continuing education, demonstrated leadership in promoting a positive image for the construction industry, acting as a role model for women in the industry and the community, and participation in community or charitable activities. 

In presenting the award, Chapter President Robert Heise commented on Nancy’s leadership at Shingobee as its CFO for the past 14 years, and now as its CEO. He also recognized her commitment to advocacy on behalf of ABC and Merit Shop, with participation in the Legislative Committee’s activities and membership on the Chapter’s Board of Directors.

Shingobee Builders was recognized for 30 years as a member of Associated Builders and Contractors. Chapter President Robert Heise and Chairman Mike Obraske presented the award to the team of Shingobee personnel who were in attendance.

Safety Director Stacy Gleason was also presented with Shingobee’s Safety Training Evaluation Process (STEP) Award for 2018. Shingobee earned Gold Level recognition for this important construction safety program for analyzing and developing safety and loss prevention programs.
