Construction of the Three Affiliated Tribes’ new five-story office building in New Town, North Dakota, is complete, and the Tribal departments are in the process of moving into the building. Shingobee provided design/build construction of the 50,000 square foot building, in conjunction with HTG Architects of Minneapolis.
The Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Tribes’ Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO) will occupy the top floor of the building, with the other floors providing space for MHA Energy (Oil and Gas), Natural Resources, Tax, and Environmental departments.
In addition to offices, the building contains shared spaces such as meeting rooms, a multi-purpose room, cultural center, fitness center, limited-use kitchen, and miscellaneous building services. Unique design elements include a two-story atrium incorporating cultural themes, a 100-person meeting room wired with the latest technology, and a roof top patio.
