Groundbreaking was held Wednesday, August 5, for Red Hawk Estates in New Town, North Dakota. Pictured above are Tribal Councilman L. Kenneth Hall with North Segment leadership and Architect Mike Laverdure.

Shingobee will be constructing the 36-unit apartment building for the North Segment Community Development Corporation, an entity of the Three Affiliated Tribes.

Representatives of the Tribal Council and North Segment leadership gathered to recognize the beginning of this important project to meet the housing needs for the community.

Design of the building is currently under way (by DSGW Architects), and construction is expected to begin this fall. The project will be a three-story apartment building with 36 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom apartments. Completion is planned for summer of 2016.
