This week, we're celebrating our company's 40th anniversary!

Shingobee was founded 40 years ago on March 17th, 1980 by Gae Veit. Here she is in 1991 accepting the Entrepreneur of the Year award from George H.W. and Barbara Bush:

The company continued to grow and thrive under the leadership of Keith McDonald from 2007 to 2018. In 2018, Shingobee returned to its roots as a woman-owned company when Nancy Samson became owner and CEO.

We've gone through a lot of growth, change, and advancement since that year, but one thing has remained steady: our commitment to integrity and excellence. That commitment has lead to a few great awards and some wonderful repeat clients!

Here are a handful of accomplishments we'd love to share.

Shingobee has partnered with MNOSHA Cooperative Compliance on six projects since 2013.

ALDI is one of our repeat clients. We've provided construction for 15 stores to date!

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema recieved a STARR Award, Shingobee was presented with an Excellence in Construction award for our work on the project, and it was named a Top Project of 2018 by Finance & Commerce.

TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union is another repeat client. We've provided design-build construction services for one branch, and remodel/tenant improvement projects for five more locations.

In March 2019, we were honored by Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) as an Eagle Winner, the highest award in ABC’s National Excellence in Construction Awards competition, for our work on Four Winds Alternative & Career Technology Education High School in Fort Totten, North Dakota.

We were presented with an Award of Excellence by the Associated Builders and Contractors MN/ND Chapter for our work on The Gardner School of Edina. It was also named a Top Project by Finance & Commerce.
